The excellent Samsung Galaxy Note 8 associated with the 360 camera of Galaxy Note 8 (64 GB) + Gear 360 camera, Note 8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are similar

The Galaxy Note 8 is a concentrate of technology, it combines what is currently best. Difficult not to notice the superb OLED screen edge to edge of 6.3 inches (definition 1440 x 2960 pixels). Under its chassis mixing glass and aluminum, there is a processor Exynos 8895 Octa-core clocked at 2.3 GHz supported by 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Side photo, the Galaxy Note 8 is the first Samsung smartphone to be equipped with a dual 12 megapixel photo sensor with optical stabilization.

The first impression of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in the tested. Not because it would be a bad smartphone – quite the contrary. Of course, the display with its narrow bezel does not sting as much as it did the first time the Galaxy S8 Plus was first seen. What seems to be missing is the aha effect. Is the Galaxy Note 8 in the test so only a Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus with pen? Not at all, because at a second glance it quickly becomes clear: there is much more to it.

The design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 shows many parallels and little difference to the Galaxy S8. The look is dominated by the “infinity display” whose side edges are like Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus bent around the case and occupying most of the space on the front. Seen from the front, the corners are slightly less bulging, the radii narrower. This makes the note 8 a bit more monolithic than the soft rounded S8. You can also feel in your hand the transition from glass to front and back into the metal frame a little more. Since the tightened corners now also hold a little more in the palm of your hand while holding the alphabet, the older Galaxy S8 Plus is a bit better in the hand. Otherwise, however, the slim in relation to the display size of the Alphabet case has a positive effect, the smartphone can be easily enclosed with your fingers.

The size of Note 8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are also very similar. The display of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in the test is just 0.1 inches larger than the Plus model, thus offering 6.3 inches at the same resolution of 2,960 x 1,440 pixels (QHD +). Accordingly, the pen-alphabet is hardly larger than the pen-less S8 Plus. Both models separate about 3 millimeters in length, 1.5 millimeters in width and also in the thickness, the S8 has only an advantage of half a millimeter. That is not much, after all. Only when it comes to weight, the grade 8 neatly, it weighs over 20 grams more and scratching at the 200-gram mark.

That’s certainly not the case of the pen mentioned on the S-Pen, which belongs to the Note series. He himself weighs only a few grams and can be found on the bottom right of the alphabet, as with his predecessors. At the push of a button, he emerges from the case where he is stowed almost invisibly on the way. The integration is perfectly successful: the stylus looks just so many millimeter fractions out of the case, that it can be pressed without pulling fingernails for pulling out briefly, but without disturbing the immaculate exterior of the Galaxy Note 8. After pressing in, which is acknowledged with a mechanical click sound, the pin then pops out a few millimeters out of the housing and can then be pulled out completely.
