An Android smartphone with five additional integrated camera lenses for wide-angle or macro shooting? This is suspected as a great camera feature for the Nokia 10, which probably also Carl Zeiss participates.
While numerous reports have announced the launch of the Nokia 9 at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona, suspected plans by HMD Global for the next top smartphone with a very special camera have now surfaced. A rumor from China says that the Nokia 10 is a smartphone with a so-called penta camera in work. This should have in addition to the main lens for the camera still have five more lenses.
A bit in the look of the well-known Nokia Lumia 1020, these are according to a sketch arranged in a ring and should turn in front of the image sensor. In the middle sits a dual LED flash, including a fingerprint sensor to unlock the Nokia 10. The various lenses are presumably macro, wide angle and fish-eye lenses. The rumor is reinforced by a patent filed by Carl Zeiss in which the speech of a “miniaturized zoom camera, which is particularly useful in mobile phones” is the speech.
Carl Zeiss is already teasing something special
According to the source, however, the Nokia 10 will not be presented at the MWC 2018 , but at the end of this year at the earliest. It should have an almost border less display in 18: 9 format and a back of glass. The drive is probably the Snapdragon 845 with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB expandable memory. HMD Global may choose the IFA 2018 in Berlin to present the smartphone to the public for the first time. A video posted on Twitter by Zeiss could give you a glimpse of what’s coming.
It would not be surprising if HMD Global has a special camera smartphone in the works with Nokia 10. In the past, Nokia has already ventured into the field of smartphone cameras with the 808 Pure View and the Lumia 1020, both with a 41-megapixel sensor.
