HTC unveils the U12 +. This new smartphone Taiwanese brand enters the family, high-quality photo phone will be marketed this summer at a price of 931$.
After breaking the conventions with its U11 that integrated side sensors on its blanks, HTC gives a layer and unveils the U12 +, equipped with innovative features of the same ilk. No need to look for the U12 whose version + could be the logical descendant since this smartphone is indeed the only model of its kind.
“Squeeze” side sensors
Partially bought by Google last summer, the Taiwanese manufacturer unveils this high-end mobile phone with a large 6-inch screen, and yet it was designed to be easily used with one hand.
In the manner of the “Squeeze” system of the U11, the U12 + will have sensors sensitive to pressure and small tapes performed on its edge. Depending on the device’s finger placement or the number of steps, the U12 + will automatically guess the desired action, whether it’s launching applications or rotating the screen.
Equipped in heavy for photos and portraits
Available at 931$ next June, the U12 + will have HTC Sense technology and will run under the version Oreo 8.0 of Android. At first contact, we see the absence of the famous notch sometimes criticized its 6-inch screen with a definition of 2880 × 1440 in 18: 9 and 537 dpi.
It is powered by a SoC Snapdragon 845 processor that can expect 2.8 GHz, a flagship 64-bit Qualcomm, supported by 6 GB of RAM. Two storage formats, in 64 or 128 GB, are available to choose from, expandable by micro SD. The set is powered by a battery QuickCharge 3.0 3500 mAh.
Side photo, HTC seems to have relied heavily on the quality of the sensors, with the rear a wide angle of 12 megapixels of 1.4 .mu.m and aperture f / 1.75, coupled with a Telephoto 16 Mpx dedicated to portraits. At the front, it is equipped with 2 × 8 Mpx of 1.12μm f / 2.0 opening.
