A leak reveals, image to support, the existence of Galaxy J2 (2018), an entry-level smartphone that prepares Samsung. The mobile would be technically very light. But Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) price would agree with its technological positioning.
Our German colleagues Win Future yesterday published an article on a smartphone developing at Samsung. This is the Galaxy J2 (2018). In this article are visuals, including the one that accompanies this article, as well as a very complete technical sheet and even a price at launch. Finally, only one marketing date is missing. However, given the completeness of this leak, there is no doubt that the smartphone will be officialized during the winter, or even early spring.
Samsung Galaxy J2 very light technical sheet …
What would be done this J2 (2018)? According to our colleagues, this mobile, whose serial number is SM-J250, has a 5-inch qHD Super AMOLED screen. If the size of the screen re positions this J2 to the height of the version of 2016, the definition of the screen brings it closer to the version of last October. This means that the resolution is at half mast and reaches 220 pixels per inch. At least the brightness and contrast will be there.
To animate the smartphone, Samsung would have chosen the Snapdragon 425, a quad-core clocked at 1.4 GHz. It would replace the Exynos 3475 Quad J2 (2017) and Spreadtrum SC8830 J2 (2016). The performances would be relatively close and the connectivity similar: LTE category 4, WIFi n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The chipset would be accompanied by 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, which can be expanded with a microSD card.
Very economical smartphone
The battery would be a 2600 mAh model. It would be removable, a function less and less common in recent times, even in the entry-level. The operating system would be Android 7.1.1 Nougat with overlay Samsung. Not sure that an update to Oreo is planned. The photographic equipment would consist of an 8 megapixel main sensor and a 5 megapixel webcam, both accompanied by an LED flash.
The mobile would measure 8 mm thick. He would weigh 153 grams. He would be dressed exclusively in plastic. It would decline at least in black and gold. Its price would be 8000 rubles (the phone being destined to arrive in Russia, at least). Which corresponds to 115 euros approximately. It is intended for first-time buyers and small budgets. This is typically the kind of phone that is offered with a light package.
Already a renewal?
We are quite surprised to see such a leak appear on the Galaxy J2 (2018). Indeed, the Galaxy J2 (2017) was formalized last October. It must be said that we were quite disappointed by this phone for the Indian market. Its technical platform, taken over from the 2015 Galaxy J2, had clearly cooled us down. Fortunately, Samsung has spared the trouble of offering it in Western countries. Will it be the same for this next J2? Answer … in 2018!
